How We Use Guest Feedback to Improve Every Storybookings Stay

When you stay with Storybookings, you’re not staying with an algorithm

We’re a local, family-run hosting team. That means when you have a question, a

request, or a concern, you’re not messaging a faceless “support desk.” You’re reaching

real people who want your stay to go well, and who take feedback seriously.

Most stays go smoothly (and our reviews reflect that). But we also believe this:

Great hosting isn’t about never having an issue. It’s about how fast and how well

you respond when something comes up.

One guest said it perfectly:

“Sometimes things go wrong. But the response is what sets apart a great host…

the host responded within minutes and took care of it.” (Michelle)

That’s the bar we hold ourselves to.

What happens when a guest shares a concern?

1) We respond quickly and clearly

Guests often mention responsiveness because it reduces stress immediately:

  • “Extremely responsive when we needed extra blankets.” (Kelly)
  • “Gabrielle was very helpful from booking to checkout.” (Justin)
  • “Communication with the host was top notch, with clear instructions for our stay and speedy reply." (Kara)

2) We take notes and investigate right away

If feedback points to a comfort issue or missing detail, we review it immediately after

checkout (and often sooner if needed).

3) We fix what can be fixed, then we improve the experience for the next guest

A great example is Amber’s review:

Amber shared that the home was cute, on-theme, cozy, and conveniently located, and

also noted a comfort preference about bed firmness. In our response, we made it clear

that we treat 4-star reviews as useful feedback and act on them:

  • We addressed issues immediately after checkout
  • We looked for practical upgrades
  • We added blackout curtains in the master bedroom as a direct improvement

That’s how we operate: we listen, we act, and we keep raising the standard.

Why we’re transparent about improvements

Because it helps guests trust the stay before they ever walk in.

When guests read our reviews, they see a clear pattern:

  • homes are clean and comfortable

  • communication is proactive

  • instructions are easy

  • the neighborhood feels quiet and safe

  • and if something needs attention, we handle it quickly

As one guest put it:

“I travel a lot… I value a lot when the host is proactive and ready to help.” (Pablo)

That’s exactly the type of hosting we aim to deliver.

What you can do if you have a question or request

If you book direct and you have a need, extra blankets, dog details, schedule flexibility,

special setup for kids, message us. Guests regularly mention that we’re responsive

and accommodating, and we’ll do our best to help.

Next step: Have a suggestion that would make your stay even better? Share it with us.

We genuinely use feedback to improve the homes.
